Arcueil is a very attractive commune in the Val-de-Marne in the Île-de-France region, with more than 20,000 inhabitants. The town is part of the Greater Paris metropolis, 22 minutes by metro from the centre, and is surrounded by the ring road to the north, the 13th/14th arrondissements and Gentilly to the north, Kremlin-Bicêtre to the east and Cachan to the south.

Arcueil has benefited from one of the most important development projects in Île-de-France in the 2000s, in the La Vache-Noire district. This new urban centre has, among other things, enabled the town to acquire an additional attraction for businesses. Arcueil now has an employment pool of more than 17,000 people and more than 2,000 companies located in the municipality, including Orange, the Caisses des dépôts et consignations, CNP, EDF, etc.
